University of Virginia Investing Conference
Reception & Dinner Event
The Forum Hotel | Charlottesville, VA
14 November 2024 | 4 p.m. - 9 p.m.
The Richard A. Mayo Center for Asset Management at the UVA Darden School of Business invites you to join us for the 17th annual University of Virginia Investing Conference (UVIC). This year’s UVIC is a reception and dinner event at The Forum Hotel featuring guest speaker Kate Moore, head of thematic strategy for BlackRock's Global Allocation Team, and moderated by Tyler Mathisen, Co-Anchor, "Power Lunch" and Vice President, Events Strategy, CNBC.
An expert at identifying opportunities to exploit structural change, policy evolution, and dislocations across global industries, Moore will share her research-driven insights into where the macro economy and financial markets might be heading. Her ideas for formulating investment approaches are timely as investors continue to face headwinds from higher rates for longer than expected, sticky inflation, slowing economic growth, and continued uncertainty abroad.
Immediately preceding UVIC all attendees are also invited to view the final round of the student-run Darden at Virginia Investment Competition (DVIC). Join us at 4 p.m. for the competition’s final round stock pitches, networking reception and dinner event.
